Glasgow uses kiosks on shopping streets, at arenas, on campuses, at stations and at weekend markets: to sell, to take tickets, to serve coffee or to give a car park attendant somewhere dry to stand. The common thread is rain. A Glasgow kiosk has to shrug off wet, windy weather for years without leaking.
Every kiosk on this page is factory-built and fitted out, delivered in one piece and lifted onto its base by the lorry's own crane.

Prices are to buy, ex works, + VAT. Delivery to Glasgow is by crane lorry and quoted in your written quote. Put any size in your quote basket and request a written quote by email.
Hire can suit a single weekend. For a pop-up that runs a whole season, or a kiosk you will use every year, compare the total hire bill with the price to buy: buying can work out cheaper, and the kiosk can move with you to your next pitch.

A pop-up store needs to look like a shop, not a site hut. Canopy kiosks add stone-effect cladding and an architectural canopy roof with lights; composite kiosks use aluminium composite cladding with a flat canopy. Both come with windows for display and a lockable door, so you can close up at night.
For a pop-up that moves around the city, a GRP kiosk is lighter and easier to relocate: a 1.50 × 2.70 m GRP kiosk weighs about 450 kg, against about 950 kg for a 1.40 × 2.15 m canopy kiosk. Signs and branding are confirmed in your written quote. See outdoor retail kiosks for shop layouts.

Plan a coffee or food kiosk around the serving hatch and the equipment. A 2.15 × 2.70 m GRP kiosk takes a counter, a coffee machine, a fridge and two staff; 1.50 × 2.70 m suits a one-person coffee point. Lights, sockets and a consumer unit are fitted; a sink and water connection are confirmed in your written quote.
Register as a food business with Glasgow City Council at least 28 days before you open. Selling in a public place in Scotland also needs a street trader's licence from the council, under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982. See catering kiosks for layouts.

GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) is moulded in one piece. There are no seams for rain to find, no timber to rot and no steel skin to rust, and the insulated walls and roof keep the inside comfortable with a small heater. For a wet west-coast city, that is the main reason to choose it.
A GRP kiosk also costs less than a clad canopy or composite kiosk of a similar size, and at about 280 kg for 1.50 × 1.50 m it can be lifted into a pedestrian area almost anywhere the lorry's crane can reach.
Kiosks arrive fully assembled on a lorry with its own crane (HIAB) and are set down on a slab, paving or four level pads. Give us the exact spot in your inquiry, with any access limits, parking restrictions or overhead cables.
Much of Glasgow's city centre and West End lies in conservation areas, so a permanent kiosk on a street or square usually needs planning permission from Glasgow City Council, and Scotland has its own building standards system. We supply drawings for the application.
Thinking of a second-hand kiosk? Check for leaking joints, rot or rust in the floor, wiring without a certificate and a layout that does not suit you. A new kiosk has a 12-month warranty, and our products are used in over 140 countries. Also see Glasgow portable cabins and containers and Edinburgh modular kiosks.
