A security hut has one job: keep a guard warm, dry and able to see the gate for a full shift. The right one depends on how many people are inside, how long the shift is and how the site should look. Security huts are the most popular of our security cabins; for car parks and reception points see security kiosks, and for building sites see portable security cabins.
For a single guard checking passes, a 1.5 × 1.5 m GRP hut is the most popular choice: room for a desk, a chair and a heater, with windows on three sides. Two people, a desk for paperwork and a monitor wall need 2.15 × 2.7 m or larger. If budget matters most, an insulated panel cabin from 1.1 × 1.1 m does the job for less.

GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) huts are moulded in one piece. There are no joints to leak, nothing to rot or rust, and the smooth white finish wipes clean. They are light for their size — a 1.5 × 1.5 m hut weighs about 280 kg — so the delivery lorry's own crane can place them almost anywhere.
Insulated panel cabins use a galvanised steel frame with sandwich-panel walls: a foam core between two steel skins. They are the lowest-cost way to put a warm booth on site and are easy to move between sites.
Composite and canopy cabins add aluminium composite or stone-effect cladding and a canopy roof with lights. They cost more, but they look like part of the building — the right choice for offices, hotels and venues.

Every security hut leaves the factory ready to plug in. You choose door and window positions on the drawing we send with your quote.

Security huts travel fully assembled on a lorry with its own crane (HIAB). The driver lifts the hut straight onto your base. You need clear access for the lorry and no overhead cables near the lift.
The base should be firm and level: a concrete slab, paving or four level concrete pads at the corners. Bolt the hut down on exposed sites. An electrician then connects the supply to the consumer unit.
Most security huts need no planning permission when they are temporary or sit inside an existing site, but permanent huts at a public entrance can — check with your council, or ask us in your inquiry.

Our products are used in over 140 countries. Production is ISO 9001:2015 and CE certified, and every hut has a 12-month warranty against manufacturing and assembly faults.
Security huts and kiosks are popular at stadium entrances, car parks and bus depots. They are built to order, so the price you see is the price we build to.

Often not for a temporary hut or one inside an existing site, but a permanent hut at a public entrance may need it. Check with your local council; we can supply drawings for an application.
